"Birth of the Cities"
An extremely time consuming painting due to the amount of detail. There is not too much hidden symbolism as the point is obvious. Every where you look cities are springing up from smaller towns or groups of towns growing together. The water is symbolic of the notion that most of the larger cities are based near shorelines. The buildings in the clouds are reminisce of the time my son and I walked through downtown NYC. As we looked up, the tops of the buildings seemed to be in the clouds. It is amazing what scale humans are capable of building.
could of categorized this piece as surrealism but I actually had one
person look at it and say "This is fantastic!" So it must be
