One of the few pieces where I invite the viewer to turn the art upside down. Rather difficult on a computer screen.
This piece started out as a landscape but as I got down to the lower sections where the stream is, I checked the painting out in a mirror to scrutinize the contrast. As I did the sections below the stream started to develop an image of a planet's edge as seen from space. So I flipped the painting upside down and went with the idea. The piece then changed from a landscape to surrealism.
